How it works
Install the extension, run a normal Google search, open the popup on the results page. Everything below assumes you’re on google.com (or your locale Google) with results loaded.
Add to Chrome Features overview
Get started (step by step)
- Install from the Chrome Web Store.
- Search on Google for a keyword you care about and wait until the results page is visible.
- Click the Rank Up Content icon in the Chrome toolbar. If the icon is hidden, open the puzzle-piece menu (“Extensions”) and pin the extension.
- On the Content Analysis tab, the table fills from the current SERP. If you see “not find anything,” make sure you’re on a Google results tab and try opening the popup again.
- Sign in from the popup (email + password) when you want a free account or Pro. Guests see stricter limits on blurred rows and related-keyword tiles—signing in unlocks more on Free.
- Open Related keywords or Page compare anytime. On Free you’ll see what’s locked; on Pro those tabs load full data and exports.
Content Analysis vs Page compare
- Content Analysis uses data from the search result listing (titles, snippets, and fields the extension derives from that view). It’s fast and matches “what Google is showing searchers right now.”
- Page compare (Pro) downloads the actual HTML of each ranking URL (plus yours) and builds charts. Use it when you need structure and on-page counts, not just the blue-link preview.
Free vs Pro (what changes in the UI)
| Area | Free / guest | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Content Analysis table | Guests: rows with rank > 3 may appear blurred until you register or upgrade. Signed-in Free: full table for ranks shown. Extra Pro-only columns (e.g. opportunity-style counts) unlock on Pro. | Full table including wider keyword columns and horizontal scroll when needed. |
| Related keywords | Preview tiles: guests see the first two hot-keyword tiles; signed-in Free users see four before the rest are blurred. Full list + CSV export are Pro. | Full list and CSV download from the Related keywords tab. |
| Page compare | Tab is visible; in-app messaging points to Pro. | Paste your URL, run Compare, read charts. |
Exact limits can shift slightly with releases; the popup is always the source of truth for gating.
Glossary (popup terms)
- Score
- A rough signal of how strongly the result’s visible fields align with the query (the extension describes it as “keyword injection power”). It is not a prediction of where Google will rank the page—ranking uses many other factors.
- CC analyze (content competitive)
- A traffic-light style read on how hard that row looks to beat on-page for this SERP: red = high competition, yellow = competitive, green = relatively less competitive. Use it as a quick triage column, not a verdict.
- Keyword frequency columns
- Counts tied to the main query and related terms surfaced for that SERP—how often each term appears in the data the extension extracted for that row.
- Opportunity keywords frequency (Pro, Content Analysis)
- How many times the main keyword appears in each row’s snippet-derived data—same general idea as the keyword frequency columns, called out for the “main term vs the field” read.
- Length
- A numeric length value plus a small bar so you can scan how “heavy” each result’s extracted text is relative to the others.
- Content competitiveness preview (Free, signed in)
- Optional toggle in the popup that reveals a time-limited preview of deeper competitiveness styling on lower-ranked rows—enough to taste the workflow before upgrading to Pro for the full table.
